Engineer | Producer | Owner

Starting out at The Magic Shop in Manhattan, Scott began his career assisting sessions by artists such as Built to Spill, Varnaline, Bonnie Raitt, Fun Lovin’ Criminals and many others.  After a few years learning the trade, he opened his first studio, Rhyme Rhythm and Reason, further honing his engineering skills, while stockpiling equipment.

In 2002, Scott partnered with Dan Long and Alex Lipsen at Headgear, adding his Trident 80c console, as well as gear by Urei, Daking, TL Audio and Neumann. This partnership began a long history with the local Williamsburg, Brooklyn music scene. Scott has worked with such artists as: Moby, Lee “Scratch” Perry, Apollo Sunshine, Ra Ra Riot, Dirty on Purpose, Early Man, The Last Town Chorus, Son Volt, Jay Farrar, Parts and Labor, CocoRosie, The Picture, TV on the Radio, The Jealous Girlfriends, Holly Miranda, Tift Merritt, and a whole bunch more…
